17 Jun 2009 The Spice Trail Turns 10!!!!
We are very pleased to inform our fantastic customers and friends that this month The Spice Trail celebrates its 10th birthday and this milestone has been achieved, thanks to our great friends and loyal customers who have supported us through these years.
The Spice Trail first opened its doors in June 1999 in a little shop in Chirn Park. In those days there was nowhere on the Coast where one could buy spices or Indian & Persian Groceries. And when we offered this service, people were overjoyed and also relieved that they no longer needed to drive miles just for groceries. Over the years The Spice Trail has grown along with the Gold Coast and we have done our best to listen to our customers and cater to their needs. We have also had our share of fame, what with write ups in the GC Bulletin and the Courier Mail.
We are celebrating The Spice Trail's 10th Birthday this Saturday, 20th June in style! Bollywood Dancers will be performing at 1pm (courtesy of Shanti Yoga), and there will be sweets(mithai/shirini), refreshments and give aways for every one. So come along with family and friends, join in the celebrations and have a great day.
This is what some of our customers say about The Spice Trail:
“For us, The Spice Trail is not just a store – it is a place of friendship, sharing, learning recipes, getting curry leaves (like from a mother's home) and talking about India."
“Walking into The Spice Trail is like entering a beautiful garden, colourful and fragrant.”
“We come to The Spice Trail because we trust Parvin and her girls to always give us genuine advice.”
We would like to take this opportunity to convey our sincere thanks and gratitude to all of you for supporting The Spice Trail and making it a household name in the local communities.
